Drum Magnetics Separation Machine
Our Permanent Drum Type Magnetic Separator is a widely used separating tramp iron from non-magnetic material processed in large quantity. It is designed for the purity of end products, recovery of metal having commercial value, and protection of processing plant and machinery.
Working Principle
When material flows onto a drum magnet, a stationary magnetic assembly inside the unit’s shell captures tramp metal, holding it securely to the drum’s stainless steel surface. With contaminants removed, the good product falls freely to a discharge point. As the drum rotates, cleats sweep the ferrous debris through and out of the magnetic field. The tramp metal is then discharged separately, creating a system of continuous self-cleaning magnetic separation.

How it Works
Drum Type Magnetic Separator works:
Step 1: Material Feeding
The material to be separated is fed onto the rotating drum of the separator.
Step 2: Magnetic Field Generation
The rotating drum has a stationary magnetic assembly inside the unit’s shell, which generates a strong magnetic field.
Step 3: Tramp Metal Attraction
As the material flows onto the drum, the tramp metal (ferrous materials) is attracted to the magnetic field and is held securely to the drum’s stainless steel surface.
Step 4: Good Product Discharge
With contaminants removed, the good product (non-ferrous materials) falls freely to a discharge point.
Step 5: Tramp Metal Removal
As the drum rotates, cleats sweep the ferrous debris through and out of the magnetic field.
Step 6: Tramp Metal Discharge
The tramp metal is then discharged separately, creating a system of continuous self-cleaning magnetic separation.
